Today we had a princess in REAL distress! But before the distress, let me tell about the magic prior and after it. The princess practiced her twirls and ballroom steps to a gently hummed Cinderella melody. She prepared the dress she would wear and even signatured her crown with a remarkably neat, pink colored heart. Once dressed in her royal attire, the princess beamed in front of the mirror. Immediately, her posture was more royal and her eyes danced with excitement. "Quick, lets take a picture!" So the princess and her royal and fairy tale friends follow. Princess tries to climb into her castle through the side window instead of carefully opening the front door. Off comes the crown. Tears stream down her face. "Pero todavia soy una princesa, todavia tengo el vestido" (But I still am a princess, I still have the dress). Why does it take a pretty dress and a princess crown to make us feel like we might truly be princesses? It is indescribable to reflect on tender moments such as holding my newborns for the first time and to finally accept that I absolutely have divinity in me. I take some of God's divinity unto myself as I use His power to create and then nurture new life. A human being so unique as to never again be duplicated in all eternity! These are moments when communion through the veil are most real for me.
P.S. Hyrum finally enjoyed the costume when he discovered he could make the princess shriek and run. Enoch is the handsomest knight who says he will slay the dragon to rescue his princess. Enoch says little Red is his Squire to help him sleigh the dragon.

jonathan should've been the oh-so-envied tree in this little play instead of the random 2 arms holding redik up.

They are yours . . . their magic couldnt be easily outdone! yes, enoch was truly a brave and handsome night with a trusty squire by his side. Amaya was and will always be such a beautiful princess! Hyrum is a a little goofball just as his costume tells . . . fabulous family!!
ReplyDeleteha ha yese! I thought he'd make a super red bull but being the tree is too funny! Isa, I guess that's our job to make sure that they know that even in rags cleaning windows they are royalty.
