The Spirit of Rick's

So, who's the big sister and who is the little one? Which is the one starting the new adventure? The truth is we both are learning from each other and both are face exciting times. I don't know if it was something in the air, but my heart smiled and thumped a little louder as we approached the wonderful Rexburg exit. I think it is the warm memories from the best time of my life still floating around greeting me and reminding me of what a special place BYU-I still is! I actually felt like my MOTHER as I didn't really want to say good bye to such an amazing friend. Well, so we both are students at the same university. I started years before her, and I bet she will still probably finish first! Happy moments, these are in life.

Fashion Show

"Cheese, Hyrum!" Why can't boys wear pink polka-dots? This one sure likes them.

Tres Caballeros + One

"Somos tres caballeros!" Amaya would sing as she squished her brothers necks under her arms. Now I guess they are tres caballeros + one. (Yes, Amaya thinks she is one of the boys...yet she is still very motherly)

All About Baby

It's funny that number 4 at the beginning feels like number one. I bring him home and I am convinced that I did something wrong...he seems uncomfortable, wanting something, maybe doesn't like his new place, a colicky baby, I don't know! His tiny peeps did not last more than a night, and obviously I have no idea what true colic is! Like Enoch, I can not get him to stay awake long enough to even finish nursing.
New born life for me is a vacation to heavenly peace amidst the business of every day life around me. There is really no concept of time where I am, and every glimpse of our little treasure brings Heaven's love into my heart. Of course I will eventually snap out of it, but for now I am enjoying every minute.

Hyrum's "Nip, Nip"

"Hyrum, quieres que Mami corte tus fuzzies?" So, Hyrum pauses sniffing his woof to contemplate my question. He then pulls on a long golden fuzzy and says.."nip, nip" (his version of snip, snip).
So, in a moment of spontaneity and randomness, I decided to play hair stylist/barber. I one- inched the front until I hesitated when the clippers reached his golden curls. Ahh, what was I thinking! I can't bring my hand to those precious curls. Consequently, he remains with a mullet for a day or two, until I can cope with the idea that he no longer is the fuzziest baby. Now he is manlier and cuter than ever!

Camel poop and treats from the Orient!

We Three Kings of Orient come... to Selma, Ca!
My favorite memory after Christmas was the morning that the wise men
made a pit stop at our house to deliver unexpected treasures.
So this year our family made every effort to lure
the king's camel our way with freshly picked grass,
not too moldy hay, and lots of fresh water!!
I think the camels left happy.
